 BHTA CONTINUING TO INFORM MEMBERS OF EFFORTS TO PROMOTE ISLAND IN KEY MARKETS

IN our continuing efforts to inform members of the work being carried out to promote the island in key markets, the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association hosted yet another important information session with the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. (BTMI).

The most recent session featured a presentation from BTMI Director – Caribbean & Latin America, Corey Garrett, who gave a review of the activities and performance for 2016 as well a visitor profile and competitive overview for that market.

Garrett also updated on the plan for this year including the objectives, target audience, niche markets, planned events, strategic partnerships and the marketing, advertising and communications strategies. CLICK HERE FOR FULL PRESENTATION.

This session came on the heels of similar presentations last month by BTMI’s Directors Cheryl Carter - United Kingdom, Anita Nightengale – Europe, Peter Mayers – Canada and Petra Roach – USA, as well as Expedia’s Market Manager – Eastern Caribbean, Josea Browne.

The information sessions continue on Thursday, June 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Accra Beach Hotel & Spa with a presentation by representatives from BTMI’s Advertising & Marketing Agency - Mirabelle Advertising & Marketing - who will update on plans in the USA, Canada and U.K. source markets.
