2017 Barbados Culinary Team off to Great Start

THE 2017 Barbados Culinary Team is presently hard at work perfecting their skills in preparation for this year’s Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Taste of the Caribbean being held in Miami in June.

The chefs and mixologists got the opportunity to showcase their talents to a number of supporters including Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Richard Sealy, BHTA Chairman Roseanne Myers and CEO Rudy Grant, General Manager – Divi, Alvin Jemmott, sponsors, the media and specially invited guests, at the first Gourmet Lunch held at Divi Southwinds recently.

This year’s team is made up of Chefs Damian Leach, Willis Griffith, Kirk Ruck and Andre Nurse; Pastry Chefs Javon Cummins, Janelle Crawford and Ron Maynard; Junior Chefs Nicolas Ifill; Bartenders Ryan Adamson and Philip Antoine, team manager Henderson Butcher and bartender manager Jamaal Bowen.
