Pollards Mill

Linda Cooper, the owner of Pollards Mill for the last four years, came here to create something magical with the property so that it will become a first class location for holiday makers and a wonderful venue for weddings and other events such as music, theatre and fundraisers.

An extensive programme of renovation, building and refurbishment has been carried out, so that the property now boasts a modernised cottage, which sleeps 6, a new villa sleeping 2 and a baby or small child. This has been designed with romance in mind and is perfect for the idyllic honeymoon far away from the maddening crowd.

The last refurbishment was the bridal suite which has a beautiful four poster bed with sumptuously rich decor in the bed covers and curtaining. The luxurious bathroom has a corner spa bath separate shower, double vanity unit and recessed toilet.

The modern kitchenette has all that is needed for an overnight stay or more and for the nervous bride to be and her bridal party.

The grounds are lovingly cared for with many lush tropical plants, large open lawns for that large wedding or event (Pollards Mill has hosted an event for 1350 people) one of which has been leveled to take a tent to seat 500 people. There is also a smaller more intimate area for the not so big event. Toilets have been built in the form of a chattel house to serve the functions and the lovely swimming pool. All the grounds are lit with security lighting and there is some coloured lighting also especially on the historic old mill. In addition a bar has been built for use at private parties and functions.
